Trail Overview
The Corona Forestal encircles Teide National Park and contains some of the finest Canarian pine forest on the island. This circuit from Aguamansa threads through tall pine stands with a carpet of pink and white cistus flowers in spring, and passes several natural water channels. The elevation keeps temperatures pleasant even in summer, making this a popular escape from the coastal heat.
The trail is well-waymarked with PR-TF posts. It can be muddy after rain. The Aguamansa trout farm at the trailhead is worth a visit. Dogs are welcome on leads.
