About This Spot

The Coastal Montaña Guaza Outlook is easily one of the best places to see all of Los Cristianos, including Playa de los Cristianos, Playa de los Tarajales, and Playa de las Vistas. From here, you get a perfect view of Montaña Chayofita, which sits right between Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas.

On a clear day, La Gomera is right in your line of sight. Since it’s roughly 40km away, I highly recommend checking our current calima conditions and visibility scores beforehand to make sure the horizon is clear. When the air is crisp, the views are unbeatable—so definitely don’t forget your telephoto lens!

At certain times of the day, you can get a great glimpse of the Viking Ragnarok boat anchored off the bay of Playa El Callao for their reenactments and whale watching. If you’re looking for truly spectacular pictures, keep an eye on the Los Cristianos ferry times; catching the ships entering and exiting the port from this height is a dream for photography.

The hike up to this spot isn’t too far, but the path is rugged, so bring plenty of water and wear good hiking shoes. It’s also one of the best spots for seeing the Tenerife sunset, but if you stay late, bring a flashlight and a jacket—it cools off surprisingly fast once the sun goes down!
