Trail Overview
The Taborno circuit is one of Anaga’s most dramatic routes, ascending to the Roque Taborno (706 m) — a narrow rocky promontory with sheer drops on three sides. The ridge approach is exposed with chains and fixed ropes on the steepest sections. The panorama from the top encompasses the Atlantic, the Anaga peaks, and on clear days Lanzarote to the east.
This route is not suitable for those with a fear of heights. The fixed ropes require upper body strength. The village of Taborno at the start is reachable by bus 075 from Santa Cruz. Total exposure time on the ridge is about 30 minutes each way.
