Roque de García Loop — Las Cañadas del Teide

The Roque de García circuit is the most accessible walk in Teide National Park and one of the most photographed in the Canary Islands. The loop winds through a crowd of eroded volcanic formations including the iconic Roque Cinchado — a gravity-defying stack balanced on a narrowing base. Views of Teide’s summit cone and the vast Llano de Ucanca pumice plain are exceptional throughout.

The Parador de Las Cañadas hotel at the trailhead makes this a perfect morning excursion before breakfast or after an early cable car ride. Despite its ease, the 2,100 m altitude means pace should be gentle and sun protection is non-negotiable.
